Renu supports his decision wholeheartedly, though his own friend and colleague ( Istiyak Khan) isn’t too sure if he did the right thing. Rajaram continues to straddle between his job and his writing till one day he is forced to quit his job and focus on writing alone. To Rajaram’s surprise Renu is more than happy to know of his writing aspirations and encourages him completely. His uncle wants to get him married and while he’s a little reluctant initially thinking of his future plans etc, he does give in and gets married to the charming Renu ( Tara-Alisha Berry).

Rajaram (Rahul Bagga) is a qualified young man with a bank job, but someone who is itching to give up his job and become a full time writer, with Delhi being his dream destination. Especially considering the history behind Mastram, how could one not look forward to the film? Unfortunately I couldn’t watch the film during the screening at Mumbai Film Festival 2013 (MAMI) and hence was looking forward to its theatrical release.Īkhilesh Jaiswal who had already clarified that this is a fictional biography of the iconic Mastram, sets his tale in a small town somewhere in Himachal Pradesh in the early 1980’s. Hence when I heard of Mastram becoming a subject for a full length feature film I was more than excited. With the internet and its virtual environment developing faster than the real World porn reading too graduated to the online World, with the Desibaba’s, Doodhwali’s and Literotica’s ruling the roost in their own ways. And when it came to porn fiction how can I forget the books of authors like Nancy Friday for example, a rage earlier :). Like everyone else even I have sneaked around and discovered the treasure trove of Playboy, Debonair and other such stuff at my cousin’s place :). I must confess that I have never ever read a single issue of Mastram (but I’ve seen the books in way too many book shops in various places) and by saying this I’m not trying to adopt a holier than thou attitude. But is it really so? Does the film actually do justice to this lovely premise? Does the end result satisfy completely? Considering that nothing till date is known of the true identity of the author or the publisher behind brand “Mastram”, wouldn’t it have sounded exciting for people to try and make a film on this particular premise? Well at least on paper this looks like a winner all the way and thus director Akhilesh Jaiswal (one of the writers of Gangs of Wasseypur), producers Ajay Rai and Sanjeev Singh Pal must have completely believed that the script available in their hands (written by Akhilesh Jaiswal himself along with Gunjan Saxena) was a recipe for success. And Mastram is an entity often referred to as the “baap of Hindi porn writing”, a name that has for the last 3 decades or so been catering to male fantasies in the Hindi belt. Therefore only people above age of 18 are allowed to watch.Porn fiction is something that has been around us for time immemorial in some form or the other. The story of the film is quite simple to understand and viewers are sure to have a good time watching this film. The film includes a lot of side actors which are the main crew that add comedy, romance, suspense and other factors into the film. The story of the film and overall acting makes it a lot more interesting to watch.

The film is overall great entertainment if you want to watch a movie with adult content. Rajaram soon adopts Mastram pornographic content to make his book in best sellers. He fails to do the same until he meets chacha who shows him how life can be made fun and spicy. One publisher later comes to agreement with Rajaram but on a condition that he will add some spicy tales in his dull story.
Later on he faces a lot of struggle to find a publisher for his written content. Following his dreams, Rajaram soon quits his job to become an all time writer. His thoughts of literature and his dreams are supported by his wife Renu(Tasha Berry). Rajaram(Rahul Bagga) lives in a small town and often dreams of travelling to big towns like Delhi to make a name for himself as a writer. Rahul Bagge plays the role of a bank clerk in movie. Rahul Bagga and Tasha Berry are the main star cast of the movie. The movie covers a story revolving around the different movie characters. Being an adult film, you can expect a lot of hot scenes which appear throughout the movie. The film falls in category of adult entertainment. Mastram movie is production of Akhilesh Jaiswal.
